The Vredestein Quatrac Pro met my expectations for a grand touring all-season tire. Even on my first test drive, it impressed me with its excellent comfort and smoothness.
I also did a lot of testing to gauge the vibrations the tires transmit to the cabin. And the results are mostly quite positive. It cancels out small bumps quite well and damps well on rough roads.
During the test, I even navigated through harsh concrete cross-sections.
Surprisingly, the tire still ensures absolute comfort. Noise does not affect the driving experience, and vibrations transmitted to the cabin are minimal. Not many competitors in the same segment can deliver the results above.

I highly appreciate Continental's silane-rich additive compound equipped with this tire. This compound remains quite flexible and provides maximum grip on the most slippery.
Another valuable feature of the PureContact LS is the well-drained deep grooves resistant to hydroplaning. Thanks to that, during the rainy season, I never encountered unsafe steering wheel slips.
The tire also passed wet braking tests from 45 - 55 mph with a braking distance about 1.5 feet shorter than the Michelin CrossClimate 2 tires I've used before.
Typically, good wet-grip tires sacrifice snow handling. However, the PureContact LS is the exception. Even though it doesn't get the 3PMSF symbol, this version is safe enough to ride on light snow, and they are bad on roads with heavy snow and ice.
The handling of the PureContact LS improves dramatically when switching to dry road driving. It has very good traction, even reminding me of sports tires. I was also pleased with the grip and responsiveness, even at limited speeds.

In heavy rain, the above advantages do not diminish. In contrast, the block ledges, deep circumferential grooves, and drains have worked to their fullest potential with acceleration and braking on wet surfaces are very good. I did not detect hydroplaning or wheel disconnection during driving.

Despite being an all-season tire, the Bridgestone Potenza RE980AS+ reminds me of solid sports tires.
Its impressive performance is most evident through the steering wheel. Specifically, it does not have a solid steering feel in the center like most all-season tires. But, the Potenza RE980AS+ has a quick and sharp response. With this advantage, it won a perfect score on my subjective processing tests.
But in addition to the responsive steering, the Potenza RE980AS+ also conquered me with its perfect snow and dry handling.
It has a pretty good grip on many dry roads. Keeping the speed within the allowable limit always delivers a predictable response and precise steering feel.
I encountered quite a few corners during my ride and the tires made my ride a lot more enjoyable through those corners.
Even in harsh conditions like on light snow, the Potenza RE980AS+ maintains pretty good handling, with good traction on light snow. I haven't had a chance to use them in heavy snow and ice conditions yet, so I'll update this next winter.
Unfortunately, it doesn't do so well in wet conditions. I still appreciate its ease of handling in rainy conditions. Yet, the traction of the Potenza RE980AS+ is no longer so excellent.

If you live in a harsh winter area, the all-season tires I have just introduced above are not the most reliable choice. Instead, try equipping the Ford Fusion with the Bridgestone Blizzak WS90 tires.
This is my 3rd winter using this tire and hopefully it can last another season or two.
Even in the compound and tread design, this specialized tire has revealed a remarkable difference compared to the usual all-season tires. It has more solid edges, a flexible mixture, and a more prominent ridge contact area.
This snow tire is awesome on my Ford Fusion. It provides very good traction on snow, whether it's packed or unpacked snow. In light snowfall, traction is excellent.
With the snow layer about 5 inches deep last winter, the tires were still easy to get through. I do not use this car in areas with deeper snow, because this is a sedan with a fairly low ground clearance.
Besides, this tire is extremely good on ice, with very short braking distance along with excellent acceleration. I am also very confident when entering corners. This is the best set of winter tires I've owned so far.

Unlike the Blizzak WS90, the Continental VikingContact 7 is a quiet and comfortable winter tire on smooth roads.
As soon as I drove out of the garage with this set of tires, my first impression after the first 30 miles was that the ride quality is excellent along with the amazing quietness on the streets and highways. This took me by surprise, as road noise is typical in winter tires.
Yet, on rougher roads, the tire doesn't continue to hold up in comfort. Its noise is quite noticeable, and vibrations are transmitted directly to the cabin.
Even so, the comfort offered by the VikingContact 7 is still superior to many specialized winter tires on the market.
