On wet roads, the traction and braking of this French version surprised me otherwise. The Defender LTX M/S always easily crosses the deepest waters or heavy rains within the allowable speed.
Although it doesn't have a lot of lugs on light snow to get enough traction, it still provides a pretty safe ride. If you don't live in an area with extreme winters, this version will meet your needs quite well.
But the most impressive advantage of the Defender LTX M/S to me is its stable traction on the highway.
This powerful product quite well meets the high torque needs of the Chevy Tahoe. Tires are stable throughout the season and in all weather conditions.
Even with additional trailers installed, it still provides the traction and stability I've always sought.
The Michelin Defender LTX M/S is always on the list of the best traction tires.
But unfortunately, the high price makes not many drivers prioritize this tire model. Even so, I recommend this product to anyone always looking for Chevy Tahoe tires with good traction. In terms of excellent durability and a 70,000-mile warranty, this Michelin tire is an economical choice in the long run.
Price is not the only downside of this product. The Defender LTX M/S, like any other highway, can't handle off-road on rough terrain.
Overall, this drawback doesn't bother me too much. I only use it to move on hard-packed surfaces like gravel and dirt.

Best Highway All-season Tires for Wet/Rain Traction
In addition to the Michelin version above, the other four-season highway tire I would recommend is the Continental TerrainContact H/T.
The Continental tires surprised me with the ride quality on my first test drive.
The product handles well on bad roads, providing a smooth, luxurious ride like never before. I entirely accept this product's noise level in large collisions.
After a long time, in addition to appreciating the ride quality, I was impressed with the TerrainContact H/T's wet handling.
This German tire has a better performance on slippery roads than I expected.
The product's 50-0 mph braking distance is shorter than any other tire in its class I've experienced. Meanwhile, the excellent grip helps me confidently accelerate in heavy rain conditions.
This tire model still performs well even in harsh slippery conditions such as snow and ice. It does what not many highway tires can: provide strong longitudinal traction and ensures safety on snow.
The TerrainContact H/T also offers an impressive driving experience on dry roads. The product has an excellent horizontal grip for me to perform safe braking, cornering, and acceleration operations.
My only complaint about this tire model is that the center steering feel is not good. I expected the product to tighten the center of gravity instead of maintaining safe stability.
5. Firestone Destination LE3
Best Highway All-Season Tires for Budget

In fact, in all tests on dry, wet, and slippery roads, the Firestone tires are not excellent enough to take the lead.
The advantage I appreciate of this good budget tire model is to meet the needs comprehensively. The product has explicit dry handling, reliable wet handling, and good enough traction not to get stuck in light snow.
Firestone tires still have drawbacks, such as the need to fine-tune ride control.
However, overall, the Destination LE3 is still a fantastic product. This good budget tire model still comes with a solid performance in any case.
6. Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S
Best All-terrain Tires for Comfort and Quiet Ride
Most of the ones I've installed on a Chevy Tahoe are highway tires. Because for me, this tire provides enough traction, smoothness, and durability.
Unlike most all-terrain tires I've tested before, the Discoverer AT3 4S isn't noisy. When traveling on the highway, the growl of the tires did not bother me too much. These noises almost disappeared when I drove on smoother surfaces.
The product also controls movement quite well, minimizing the impact on the cabin. This tire model is still not as smooth as products with additional cushioning on bumps. However, compared to most all-terrain tires available, the Discoverer AT3 4S deserves the lead in smoothness.
In addition to being quiet and comfortable, there is a reason why I prioritize this on-/off-road all-road model. One of them is excellent performance on paved or wet roads.
It excellently passed all of my wet braking and traction tests. I'm not too fond of the slightly dull steering it creates.
However, undeniably, this property makes for balance and control on wet roads.
I also quite love the off-road capabilities the Discoverer AT3 4S offers. Its off-road performance is, of course, not comparable to dedicated models.
Yet, at least this Cooper version does a great job of balancing off-road grip and requisite comfort.
The Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S met my basic needs. The only downside I think the manufacturer could do better is to improve the steering appeal.
7. BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2
Best for Off-road Driving
After an extended test, I found that the manufacturer is not exaggerating when describing this all-terrain tire.
The All-Terrain T/A KO2 is ideal for off-road driving because of its protruding rubber blocks at the side, lift bars, and unique block grooves that provide grip.
The above equipment has brought a product with excellent traction in the harshest terrain. This model also automatically removes mud and soil, keeping my off-road experience uninterrupted.
Usually, the terrain tires I've used are not too comfortable to move. But KO2 from BFGoodrich is an exception. The tires provide a fairly comfortable ride, but even so, I still expect it to be improved even further.
Finally, I must commend its excellent durability. While using it, I made many long road trips to the countryside. Surprisingly, despite often rolling on gravel, this tire is still quite resistant to chips and tears.
I love nearly all the features and experiences that BFGoodrich tires offer. But the downside to this product that needs improvement is the stiffer steering feel for off-road driving.
Also, when testing on the highway at 60 mph in New Jersey, I noticed some growls that easily penetrated the cabin.
8. Continental TerrainContact A/T
Overcoming a wide range of all-terrain tires, the TerrainContact A/T ranked first in many tests related to highway handling.
First, the excellent product passed my ride quality test. Although it has a rather aggressive design, it does not mean that the growl of the tire is too loud. In contrast, the TerrainContact A/T provided a quiet ride for me to concentrate on driving.
Dry traction was my second test. Before testing, I did not expect too much from its performance. An all-terrain on-/off-road tire model like the TerrainContact A/T won't excel in this category.
The product performed far beyond my expectations. It provides overall solid traction and reliable response in any emergency. In particular, when cornering, it resisted the resistance of the Chevy Tahoe quite intelligently and safely.
Performance on wet roads is also the highlight of this Continental model. With top wet traction and many other essential features, the TerrainContact A/T is a reliable choice for rainy season use.

Best for Snow and Ice Traction
Bridgestone-oriented Blizzak DM-V2 is the ideal tire for driving SUVs, pickup trucks, and sports cars for crawling on snow and ice.

To test the effectiveness of these particular items, I did quite a few tests on snow and ice.
On heavy snow, Bridgestone tires remove the thin film of water quite well. The product's acceleration and braking distances are also quite reliable.
Especially when cornering, the Blizzak DM-V2 tires bring unprecedented flexibility and impression. I increased the difficulty of the test while testing the tires on ice. And the results are pretty impressive to me.
This Bridgestone version took only 3,027 seconds to accelerate on ice. Meanwhile, the braking distance from 12-0 mph is just 29.2 feet. I have never experienced a tire that gives as impressive ice handling as the Bridgestone tire.
